last minute help!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we found there are a few items we can take with us for the missionaries and the kids at the orphanages.  If you have any of these laying around, we'd love to get them into the hands of the people we are going to be visiting!


We need:
chocolate chips
reese's miniatures (they travel better!)
salad dressings
cereal
Bath & Body Works hand soap


If you can help out with any of these items, please get them to us by tomorrow evening, or call us at 426-2795 & we'll try our best to get them from you!

one week to go!

With one week to go, the packing has begun, shopping for snacks & such commenced, and the last minute to do list is getting longer!! We've learned more about what our time in Kijabe will possibly look like & are really anticipating getting to meet so many wonderful people & help out with all they do in Kenya and all over Africa!  It looks like most of our time will be spent helping with the building project at CURE and at one of the two orphanages in Kijabe.  

As far as prayer updates, there is only one specific need known of as of now & that is that the  school that many missionary kids attend, Rift Valley Academy, is needing some help with computer issues, so pray that our team will not only be able to meet RVA's needs, but that the Holy Spirit would guide us to how we can best be used to meet any needs that might arise in Kijabe. 


Also, pray that our team will be characterized by unity and love.  Since our team is made of about 10 people from all different states, we have not met and will not meet until London.  This is an opportunity to pray for us, that although many of us have never met, we will exhibit such love and unity as the body of Christ, that it spills over to all we do and everyone we meet.  Only the Holy Spirit can do this in us!


Pray that Christ will above all be glorified in us, and his life would be evident in us!


As many of you know, we will be in London for 4 days before we arrive in Kenya.  Pray for our safety as we travel such long flights, and for the Lord to continue preparing our hearts in these last days for the work he has for us and all we will experience while in Kenya. 


Thanks so much for your continued prayer and support. Thanks to each of you and what the Lord has laid on your heart, we've been able to raise $2475!! Praise God for his faithfulness in what he calls his children to do!  


We'll try our best to post again mid-way through our trip to update you on possible prayer needs!

17 days and counting!!

We're wrapping up the details of our trip, and starting to think about packing soon!!! :)

There will be an update on prayer needs in the next day or so, make sure to check back soon!

Also, there will be an opportunity to stay updated through email while we are gone and will be giving out the details for that asap!

Thanks so much for your support and prayers! We're praying that as time draws near, Christ will continue to prepare our hearts for all he has purposed and that above all he will be made much of in all that we do.  He is worthy!
